The Divine Service of Holy Eucharist will be celebrated on Ash Wednesday, February 17, at 11:00am & 7:30pm.
Both services will include the opportunity to receive ashes, a personal absolution, and Holy Communion.
The purpose of ashes is not to show off or give the impression that you are more religious or more pious than others. On the contrary, ashes are intended to serve as a reminder of our sinfulness and mortality and should be received in humility rather than in pride. "Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return." (Genesis 3:19; Psalm 103:14; Job 10:9)
